PRESCOTT BADGERS

The Prescott High School baseball team won their fourth game in a row on Thursday with a 13-3 victory against Mohave on the road. At 8-5 in the section and 11-12 overall, the Badgers playoff hopes are still alive as they play the Mingus Marauders at home Tuesday on senior night. First pitch is 4pm.

Senior night was a success for the Badger softball team on Monday, picking up the win against Mohave at home 5-1. The team currently has a 14-5-1 overall record and has a 9-2 mark in section. The regular season ends for Prescott High School on the road Wednesday against the Flagstaff Eagles. First pitch is 3pm.

The Badgers volleyball team fell to the Barry Goldwater Bulldogs 3-2 on Monday. Prescott High School has one final road game of the season against the Ironwood Eagles. Game time is 5:30pm.

BRADSHAW MOUNTAIN BEARS

The Bradshaw Mountain Bears baseball fell in the final road game of the season against the Coconino Panthers 5-0 on Monday. At 5-7 in section and 14-11 overall, the Bradshaw Mountain Bears didn’t crack the playoffs this year and will end the season at home on Tuesday against the Combs Coyotes. First pitch is 3:45pm.

Meanwhile, the Bradshaw Mountain softball team ended their season with a 6-4 victory agianst the Coconio Panthers. The Bears final overall record was 15-12-1 with a 5-7 Grand Canyon region mark.

CHINO VALLEY COUGARS

The Chino Valley Cougar baseball team ended the regular season with a 10-1 win against Wickinberg Monday, their fifth in a row, and captured the 3A West title. The Cougars went 15-7 overall and 9-1 in section.

The Chino Valley Cougars softball team ended the season with a 17-3 blowout of Wickenberg on Monday. Final record for the team is 5-11 overall and 2-4 in section.

YAVAPAI COLLEGE ROUGHRIDERS

The Yavapai College Roughrider softball team won their ninth game in a row on Saturday with a doubleheader sweep against Scottsdale Community College. The team plays their final regular season home game on Tuesday against Eastern Arizona College. A split would cause Yavapai College to tie for a conference championship and host the NJCAA Region One Division One playoffs. However, a sweep would cause a sole possession ACCAC conference championship. First pitch is noon.

Meanwhile, the Roughrider baseball team split a doubleheader with Cochise College on Saturday and continues to hold the fourth and final playoff spot in a tie with Arizona Western College who visits Roughrider Park for a doubleheader on Tuesday. First pitch is noon.

EMBRY RIDDLE EAGLES

The Embry Riddle Eagles softball team ended the season with a doubleheader defeat at the hands of Simpson University on the road Sunday. The team’s final record was 17-37.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

Zack Greinke struck out eleven and Chris Owings hit a grandslam as the Diamondbacks beat the Padres 7-6 on Monday night at Chase Field in Phoenix. The Dbacks still trail the Rockies by one and a half games as they play the Padres in game two of the series Tuesday night at 6:40.
