NAZ Suns

Following a loss to the Defenders at home on Friday, the Northern Arizona Suns responded with a 91-85 win over the Oklahoma City Blue on Sunday in the first of a three game road trip. Now at 19-20 on the season, the NAZ Suns play the next two games Frisco against the Texas Legends on Tuesday and Thursday at 6pm before returning to the Prescott Valley Event Center on Sunday at 5pm against the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Prescott Badgers

The Prescott Badgers baseball team picked up a 8-7 win on Thursday against Cactus Shadows. The victory was their third early in the season as the team prepares to take on Perry at Corona Del Sol High School in Phoenix on Wednesday. First pitch is 9am.

Meanwhile, the Badgers softball squad blasted Cactus Shadows on Thursday 12-6 and picked up their first win of the year. Badgers are back at home on Tuesday for a 4pm first pitch against Mingus.

Bradshaw Mountain Bears

The Bradshaw Mountain Bears baseball team picked up their second win in a row on Friday with a 10-0 victory against Youngker. Bears head back out on the road Wednesday for a 3:45pm first pitch against Flagstaff.

Bears softball also had good success against Youngker on Friday, beating the Roughriders 11-4. Now at 2-1 in the young season, the Bears softball team is back at home against Flagstaff on Monday at 3:45pm.

Chino Valley Cougars

Chino Valley Cougars baseball opened their season with a win on Friday against Williams at home 6-2. Next up is a road game on Tuesday against Camp Verde. First pitch is 3:45pm.

Embry Riddle Eagles

Embry Riddle softball was on the diamond all weekend as the Eagles played two doubleheaders and one triple header in the Copper State Collegiate Classic. It was a successful stretch of games for Embry Riddle as the Eagles went 4-3 and improve their record to 7-16. E agles are back on the road on Saturday for a doubleheader in Tucson against Judson University at 3:30 and Robert Morris College at 6pm.

Yavapai College Roughriders

The wins keep racking up for the Yavapai College softball team as the Roughriders have won 15 straight games with two more victories in a doubleheader against Chandler Gilbert Community College on Saturday. Roughriders now sit at 21-2 with a 17-1 ACCAC record and head out onto the road for four straight beginning with a doubleheader against Scottsdale Community College on Tuesday at 12pm and 3pm.

In Yuma, the Roughrider baseball team split a doubleheader against Arizona Western College with a 5-1 loss in game one and a 8-3 win in game two. Now at 13-11 on the season, the Roughriders are back home for a doubleheader on Saturday against Pima Community College at noon and 2pm.

Arizona Coyotes

It has been a tough stretch recently for the Arizona Coyotes as the team has dropped three of their last four games. On Sunday, the Coyotes fell 2-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes. Coyotes sit at 23-35-7 on the year which is good for 7th in the Pacific division. Senators are next up for the Coyotes at home on Thursday. The puck drops at 7pm.

Phoenix Suns

What a finish the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. The game was tied against the Boston Celtics at home when Marquese Chriss forced a turnover and was picked up by Tyler Ulis who drained a buzzer beating basket to win 109-106. The Suns now sit at 21-42 and 14th in the western conference headed into their next matchup against the Washington Wizards at home on Tuesday. Tip-off is 7pm.
