10-year-old Christian Pearson, who died at Phoenix Children’s Hospital Sunday night after sustaining injuries and abuse on June 8th according to Chino Valley Police Department Lt. Vince Schann, will have a candlelight vigil on June 17th at Memory Park in Chino Valley from 7:00pm-9:00pm, the town announced.

Meanwhile, the release mentioned the investigation is ongoing as the department has been in contact with the Yavapai County Attorney’s Office and have requested charges against Christian’s mother Julianna Moreno and her boyfriend Daniel Terry, who Christian was staying with at the time, be upgraded to First Degree Murder in the death of Christian.
In addition, the release stated that Moreno and Terry had a yard sale at their residence at the 1200 block of Poco Ln on the day of the incident and the Chino Valley Police Department is asking anyone who attended the yard sale to contact the department and request to speak to a detective.
Finally, it was stated all stuffed animals, cards, and other gifts received at the department for Christian will be delivered to his biological father.
