Community Mourns Taco Don’s Owner Death
The community was shocked to find out Jayme Salazar, owner of the Mexican food restaurant Taco Don’s, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Iron Springs Road Friday. The restaurant was closed on Saturday and Sunday before re-opening Monday as people came and wrote messages on the window in dedication for Salazar throughout the weekend.

Firefighters Rescue Two Ladies, Four Horses, and 2 Dogs from Bee Attack
It’s spring time and the bees have made their return as according to Fire Marshall Don Devendorf, the Prescott Regional Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a 70-year-old female and her neighbor were being attacked by very aggressive bees along with four horses and two dogs. In the release, it was stated that the individuals suffered hundreds of stings to their face and bodies but were reported as stable in an update following transportation to Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Meanwhile, two horses and both dogs were in stable condition while two other horses were transported to a veterinarian, according to the release.

Thousands Enjoy Whiskey Off Road in Prescott Over the Weekend
There were many more people on two wheels than usual over the weekend in Prescott as the fourteenth annual Whiskey Off Road took place with Sam Gaze winning both the Fat Tire Crit as well as the backcountry race while Kate Courtney took home first place in the women’s backcountry competition.

Cody Nance Champion Again at Mile High PBR
Another epic ride during the PBR at the Prescott Valley Events Center (Rider not Cody Nance).
While bikes were in downtown Prescott, bulls and cowboys were in Prescott Valley as the Mile High Professional Bull Riding took place at the Prescott Valley Event Center. Cody Nance took home his second consecutive championship and the $15,000 prize.

Northern Arizona Suns Teach Kids to Play the NAZ Suns Way
Members of the Northern Arizona Suns organization like head coach Ty Ellis gave back to the community on Tuesday as the team visited Taylor Hicks Elementary School and Bradshaw Mountain Middle School to hold a one-hour drill section with the children. The kids were enthusiastic throughout as they learned how to play the NAZ Suns way.
