Prescott Badgers Softball podcast

PRESCOTT BADGERS

The Prescott Badgers baseball team picked up their third win in a row on Tuesday, beating the Mohave Thunderbirds at home 11-1. The team’s recent winning ways have the region record back to .500 at 5-5 and the overall mark at 8-7. The team now hits the road for a matchup against Mohave on Thursday at 4:00pm.

Prescott High School’s softball team has also been in the win column lately, picking four straight including a victory against Mohave on the road Tuesday 2-1. The team continues to be a force in the region with a 8-2 record and 12-3 overall. Badgers remain on the road for a game against the Thunderbird Chiefs on Friday at 4:00pm.

The Prescott Badgers volleyball team couldn’t find much success against the Raymond S. Kellis Cougars at home on Thursday, being swept 3-0. The team only has one win on the season and look to continue building on fundamentals against Deer Valley at home on Thursday. Game time is 5:00pm.

BRADSHAW MOUNTAIN BEARS

The Bradshaw Mountain High School Bears baseball team was back in the win column on Monday, beating the Moon Valley Rockets 7-5 after falling against rival Prescott High School in the previous week. The Bears overall record now stands at 7-6 and 5-6 in region as they go on the road for a game against the Shadow Mountain Matadors Thursday. First pitch is 4:00pm

Bradshaw Mountain’s softball team responded well after the crushing losses to Prescott High School last week, blasting the Comb Coyotes on the road Monday 14-8. The victory pushes the team’s overall record back to 7-7 while having a 4-7 region mark. Bradshaw Moutain is back home on Thursday for a game against the Shadow Mountain Matadors. First pitch is 3:45pm.

CHINO VALLEY COUGARS

Chino Valley High School’s baseball team has been rolling lately as the Cougars have won three straight games after the victory against Kingman on Tuesday 3-0 on the road. Chino Valley continues to tear up the region at 7-1 while going 11-4 overall. Cougars look to keep it up against the Northwest Christian Crusaders at home on Friday. First pitch is 3:45pm.

The Chino Valley softball team also had success against Kingman on the road Tuesday, beating the Bulldogs 12-1. The Cougars’ softball team currently sits 3-3 in region with a 6-7 overall record heading into their next matchup against Northwest Christian at home on Friday at 3:45pm.

EMBRY RIDDLE EAGLES

It was a tough weekend for the Embry Riddle Eagles softball team as the team could only pick up one game in back-to-back doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday against Marymount California University to end their season home schedule.At 17-33 overall, the Eagles finish their season on Friday with a doubleheader against #16 ranked Simpson University on the road.

YAVAPAI COLLEGE ROUGHRIDERS

The Yavapai College baseball team picked up a big doubleheader sweep against Central Arizona College on the road Tuesday, winning game one 3-1 and game two 8-5. The victories push the Roughrider overall record to 30-20 and a 16-14 mark in the ACCAC as well as give Yavapai College a one-game advantage for the fourth and final playoff spot. The hunt for postseason baseball continues at home on Saturday for a doubleheader against ACCAC frontrunner Cochise College. First pitch is noon.

Meanwhile, it’s more of the usual for the Roughrider softball team, sweeping another doubleheader on the road Tuesday against Chandler-Gilbert Community College. The team has won seven straight ballgames and sit at the top of the ACCAC at 40-4 with a 44-5 overall record. This upcoming Saturday, the team plays their final Saturday doubleheader of the regular season with a matchup against Scottsdale Community College. First pitch is noon.

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS

After picking up two wins in Los Angeles to split the series against the Dodgers, the Arizona Diamondbacks opened the three-game road series against San Diego with a 11-2 drubbing on Monday night. Arizona remains tied for first place with Colorado as Zach Greinke takes the hill for game two on Wednesday night. First pitch is 7:10pm.
