Diana Green was picked to be Humboldt Elementary School’s new principal for the upcoming school year at the Humboldt Unified School board meeting on Tuesday night.

Following retirement from her nearly thirty-year career working various positions in school districts, retirement wasn’t all it was cracked up to be for Green and she was looking for some work when an opportunity presented itself to fill the vacant spot at Humboldt Elementary.

Meanwhile, current principal Lisa Uvila is moving back to her home state of Washington to become the principal of Monument Elementary School in Quincy, Washington.
