NORTHERN ARIZONA SUNS

Eli Millsap picked up 24 points and six rebounds but it wasn’t enough as the Northern Arizona Suns dropped their game against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Sunday 129-120. The NAZ Suns, which currently sit at 22-26 in their inaugural season, have two games left with the final home game taking place on Wednesday against the Austin Spurs. Tip-off is 6:30pm.

PRESCOTT BADGERS

The Prescott Badgers baseball team was unable to pick up the victory against Flagstaff on the road last Monday, losing 9-3. The team is has another shot at the Eagles today at home. First pitch is 3:30pm.

Meanwhile, the softball team won their third game in a row last Monday, beating the Flagstaff Eagles 5-4. Badgers are now 5-1 overall with a 2-1 mark in the Grand Canyon region and hit the road for a matchup against Flagstaff Monday at 3:45pm.

It has been a tough stretch for the Badger boy’s volleyball team as the squad has yet to pick up a victory this season. Now at 0-7 overall, Prescott High School looks to pick up their first win against Liberty on the road Tuesday. Game time is 5:30pm.

BRADSHAW MOUNTAIN BEARS

The Bradshaw Mountain Baseball team was not able to pick up the home victory on Thursday, losing to the Lee Williams Volunteers 7-6. The Bears, who are 3-2 in region play, remain at home for a matchup against Mingus at 3:45pm on Tuesday before a road matchup with the Marauders on Thursday.

Bears softball had better luck against Lee Williams, beating the Volunteers 14-1 on the road Monday to pick up their second straight win. Now with a 3-2 region record, the Bears remain on the road for a matchup against Mingus Union High School Tuesday at 3:45pm.

CHINO VALLEY COUGARS

Chino Valley High School Baseball won their third game in a row on Saturday, beating the Sedona Red Rock Scorpions 8-5 on the road. Now sporting a 2-0 west region record, Cougars return home for a game against Odyssey Institute on Tuesday. First-pitch is 3:45pm.

Meanwhile, the Cougars softball team also picked up a win against Sedona Red Rock, bearing the Scorpions 2-0. The game on Tuesday against Odyssey Instate has been cancelled.

YAVAPAI COLLEGE ROUGHRIDERS

After committing six errors and falling to the Scottsdale Artichokes on Friday, the Yavapai College Roughrider baseball team responded on Saturday at home with a 13-10 win. Now with a 21-15 overall record to go along with a 7-9 mark in ACCAC, Yavapai College continue conference play on Tuesday as the Roughriders take on Chandler Gilbert Community College in doubleheader starting at noon.

Jaydee Boursaw went yard three times and knocked in nine runs in a Roughrider softball doubleheader sweep of Paradise Valley Community College on Saturday. The Roughriders continue to tear apart the league with a 31-4 overall record and a 27-3 ACCAC mark. The team is back at Bill Valley Field on Tuesday for a doubleheader against Pima Community College starting at 1:00pm.

EMBRY RIDDLE EAGLES

On Sunday, the Embry Riddle Eagles split a doubleheader against La Sierra University, winning the first game 3-1 but dropping game two 14-1. Eagles have a 12-22 record as the two teams match up again on Monday with a doubleheader starting at 1pm.

ARIZONA COYOTES

The Arizona Coyotes lost their second straight game on Saturday, dropping the road contest against Washington 4-1 after allowing three goals in the final period. Coyotes hold a 27-39-9 record and remain on the road for a 5:00pm matchup with St. Louis.

PHOENIX SUNS

The tanking is in full effect for the Phoenix Suns as the team lost their eigth game in a row on Sunday, 120-106 against the Charlotte Hornets, dropping their record to 22-52 on the year. The season continues for Phoenix on Tuesday with a road matchup against the Atlanta Hawks. Tip-off is 4:30pm.
